Rogers APN Configuration for Android Phones
by Zander Kidd
Getting the T-Mobile G1 or any Android phone to work on the Rogers network isn’t too difficult. When you first start the phone and you’re at the Touch the Android screen just press the menu button and go into the APN settings. Remove any existing APN configurations that aren’t related to your carrier. Then add the following two new ones.
For Internet Access/Texting
- Name
- Rogers
- APN
- internet.com
- Username
- wapuser1
- Password
- wap
- MCC
- 302 (should already be filled in)
- MNC
- either 720 or 72 depending on your SIM card (should already be filled in)
Leave all other settings blank.
For Media Messaging (Picture/Video)
- Name
- Rogers MMS
- APN
- media.com
- Username
- media
- Password
- mda01
- Server
- 172.25.0.107
- MMSC
- http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
- MMS Proxy
- 10.128.1.69
- MMS Port
- 80
- MCC
- 302 (should already be filled in)
- MNC
- either 720 or 72 depending on your SIM card (should already be filled in)
- APN Type
- mms
Leave all other settings blank.
Simple as that
Hope you like your new phone!

Awesome, this worked for my CyanogenMod HTC Magic from rogers! No other APN list had the MMS proxy/port.
This is Great; my HTC Hero woks with all these setting as well;
I installed a custom firmware on my Dream ages ago but couldn’t get 3G internet access to work, so I had to change back to the official firmware. I had no idea you needed to enter APN information so this is really helpful!
is there a way that i can use internet without subscribing to a rogers plan
if no
where is it that i change the MMS
do i add another APN
how?
Thanks…this works great! I have the motorola miletsone
Thank you so much for putting this in one spot, clearly. I had all the settings for Windows Mobile and Symbian but some of the terms are different with Android. Thanks!

Very Helpful! My Telus Milestone finally works on the Rogers Network!
these settings worked for my nexus one thanks
Thanks alot!
Shaun, I had the same problem with MMS on the N1. The first time I entered the APN it did not work, I know I enter it right I checked it over and over again. I deleted it and re-entered it, started working after that. I don’t know way but it worked. Worth a try.
Thanks.
Just got a N1 from the US… follow the APN entries – all good. worked first time – no power off.
Internet settings worked. Excellent.
Thanks

Sweet, this worked like a hot damn on my Nexus One. I got a bit confused and accidentally filled out the Proxy and Port fields (on the mms one) but quickly realized my problems when I got further on in the settings.
ty ty ty OMGGGG you saved my life .. rogers wouldnt help me much and this worked perfectly…THANK YOUUU
Would you be able to provide me with the Motorola Milestone settings to use with Fido Network?
Thanks
Sam
Worked (after some very nerve-wracking troubleshooting) on my HTC Desire (the Oz A8183; 850/2100). For other users on this device, it was critical for me to have Network Mode set to ‘WCDMA only’.
Thanks so much for the info!
